Mitch Calvert had been given detention...again. It was the beginning of a new school year and he already had gotten detention too many times to count. It was kind of sad. The only reason he got detention was sleeping in class. He liked to stay up late, or had to. He was kind of paranoid of getting attacked or something. So, he just didn't sleep, which meant he went to class and slept. He wasn't all to fond of school, but it passed the time. He didn't have anything to do around town, so he just slept in class. Well, anyways, Mitch was just getting out of detention. He was out of it. He did look good though. But, I guess that didn't really matter. Mitch yawned loudy. No one was really around. Go figure. No one liked to stick around the school grounds unless they were nerd/geeks or something. Mitch chuckled to himself. He always seemed to crack himself up at the randomest moments. Mostly because weird images flashed through his head. After he left the halls of the school, he stepped out into the brisk weather. He shivered. A nice cup of coffee would do. It would also keep him up for at least half the night. He was going to go to Pete's Bar and Grill when he checked in his wallet. Nothing. That wasn't good. He groaned. he was broke. He looked at the school. Well he might as well have a quick smoke before he went anywhere. Nice time killer. He decided to lean against a wall of the school. He pulled out some cigarettes and lit one. He never really smoked, except when he was bored, which he was now. He looked at the doors of the school. Maybe he would get lucky and strike up a chat with someone. Something he rarely did with anyone in this town since he arrived. He smirked. He missed being social.

Addalynn wasn't paying much attention, which was odd. She felt like someone was watching her. Of course she always had that feeling. being perfect meant stalkers. And stalkers meant dinner. Addalynn tried to refrain from daydreaming about killing anyone, and was surprised to see someone she was yet to talk to. It was obvious he was a werewolf. His stinch made her eyes want to tear-up. Her nose scrunched as she approached. Yet she tried to be civil, since she was old-fashioned. "Hello there..." Her voice was even, and had no emotion.
Addalynn hadn't talked to many wolves, and wasn't sure how to act around them. They probably thought her to be annoying, or something. Addy tried to keep to herself most of the time, but she did talk to a lot of people. Thankfully, Addalynn had already fed and would be fine for a bit. Human blood, the description of taste was impossible. The way it felt in her mouth, the way it slid down her throat. How the burning disappeared, it was all so unrealistic and weird. Yet, it was exactly what Addalynn was used to. How often would you get to say to your friends 'Yeah, last night I sucked this hobo dry of blood. It was delicious!' Not very often, never actually. Addalynn couldn't talk to anyone besides her family about all of this, and it was killing her. She hated being so closed off from the world.
Addalynn watched the wolf, and waited. Something about him wasn't right. If he wasn't a wolf he would be attractive...' Addalynn thought to herself, something else wasn't right either. The way he carried himself was, different... Way different then most guys. It was actually sort of feminine. Although, this was present day, not way back when. A lot of guys were more feminine then most. It was terrible, but Addalynn wasn't the type to completely judge. Although she strongly disapproved.

Mitch had dazed off a little. He slightly perked up, hearing a voice. He slouched back onto the wall once he got a sniff of her. A vampire. His lucky day. He really didn't have anything against them, just that all the vamps around this town seemed to dislike werewolves. He didn't mind, but now he was on alert. He was suddenly awake and aware of his surrondings. He dropped his cigarette and rubbed it out. He cleared his voice, "Oh hey..." He looked awkwardly at her. Why was she even talking to him? He shrugged. Fuck it, he was gonna introduce himself. He walked away from the wall and held out his hand to her, "I'm Mitch. You are?" If Mitch was straight, he would have jumped her bones, but of course, he liked men better. Mitch studied what she was wearing. He wasn't the cliche homosexual where he orgasmed over outfits girls wore, but he had to admit, she looked cute. The whole outfit matched her perfectly. Dark, but....also innocence. He found this interesting. Why would a vamp ever wear white..? Mitch was definitely interested in her. He liked to know what made people who they were. Like what made them tick. He did a slight headtilt. Huh. Interesting indeed.

Addalynn watched as he held out his hand. Naturally, she took it and shook firmly. "Oh, I'm Addalynn... Nice to meet you!" Addalynn tried to be smiley about things. She didn't plan on judging him for his species, that wasn't part of it. At the same time, Addalynn didn't like werewolves. She instead, shrugged the thoughts' off. He was quite attractive, and interesting. He head tilted, and she was curious. Her eyes pushed together, as did her eyebrows. "Uh, something wrong?"
Her voice was curious. Her look was curious, her body language was even curious. Did she smell funny? That was a stupid question, of course she did. Addalynn softened the look, but held the stare. She was staring directly at him. "Am I wearing something that offends you? Sorry,if I am..." Addalynn gave a half smile at him, as if apologizing. Technically, she already had. Still she was wondering why he was looking at her in that way.
Mitch was his name, aye? That was a nice name for a boy, yet a little feminine. Mitch, sounds a bit like Michelle. Addalynn knew a girl named Michelle once, they called her Mitchy, or just Mitch. Addalynn tried to soften her expression more, before things' got to awkward. Then she just decided to wait for his explanation instead. Then things' would probably make more sense.

Once Mitch shook her hand, he pulled it away, shoving his hands into his pockets. He could never get over the fact how cold vampires were. His hand needed to become warm again. "Oh likewise. I haven't really met anyone officially yet." He gave a nervous laugh. He wasn't one to judge anyone, but this Addalynn made him feel weird. She was just...different. She looked so clean and crisp and proper. Well the proper part seemed to be in all vampires, unless they were insane. She didn't seem insane. So far, he was feeling alright about her. Mitch blinked at what she said. Then he got it. He was staring at her for to long. Might have set her off. "Oh! Sorry nothing. Nothing's wrong. Just that...you're wearing white. I've never really seen a vampire wear white, well maybe, but the majority of them don't." He wasn't trying to stereo-type vampires, but it was true. Alot of them stuck to the dark colors. It was just a fact. If someone looked hard enough, one would know that Mitch was gay, but he didn't always show it. He acted like anyother male, just instead of talking about girls, the topic was guys. If one had a good enough "gaydar", as some call it, they would know. The way he stood and sometimes the way he talked. Even the way he moved at times. But rarely one would notice. Some were blind to the fact that Mitch was gay.

Mitch was definitely of a different orientation. That was obvious now, well not completely but Addalynn had a good idea he wasn't straight. Just the way he stood seemed to scream out gay... Addy smiled softly at him. "Don't worry, I'm not going to attack you! I'm not like others' of my kind..." Addalynn said softly and checked her nails. Addalynn almost thought of herself as the real Alice. Only Addy still needed her Jazzy. That stupid book, always popping up in her head. That book should never have been wrote!
"Oh yes, I like wearing lighter colors usually. Darker colors make me feel depressed. I hate being sad about anything..." Addalynn watched him. Mitch seemed interested in how she worked. Obviously, that was what the question was about. "I've only seen a few of my kind these days that wear dark colors. Most that I know try and dress like me, to fit in. you know?" Addalynn was hoping it made sense. Though he'd have to be dumb not to understand what she was saying.
"You've officially met me now, so yay!" Addalynn said with a sort of little dance. Addalynn was short and hyper like. She didn't have short hair, her's was long and bouncy. Her style was usually old-fashioned, or old-fashioned trying to invert into new-age style. Addalynn loved her clothes though, and enjoyed finding them. There was a dark side to Addy though. It was usually kept deep down and hidden. Hidden was where it was meant to be. Hopefully she didn't have to bring it out any time soon.

Addalynn was something unique. Mitch could see himself becoming her friend. Just from that little soft smile, Mitch knew. He knew that she knew that he was flamboyantly gay. He actually liked that. He didn't really like to tell anyone up front, even though he was a very open guy about things, but he liked for them to find out. He also liked that she seemed okay with it, then again, alot of people were becoming okay with the fact that some people liked the same sex. Mitch was a little suprised when he heard what Addy said, but then again, it made him relax more, his gaurd went down a little bit more. "Well that's good. I wouldn't want to end up in a ditch or somewhere ridiculous, just because I'm a werewolf." One more important thing about Mitch was he was pretty open about things. He already figured that Addy figured out he was a were, so why hide it? He hated to 'beat around the bush'. It was so dumb. It was close to lying, and he hated liars. Huh. Interesting. It was almost like Addy was one of those girls who started trends or fads. Mitch saw her like that anyways. It wasn't hard to start something in a small town, though, but he still gave her props. "I see. That's really chill. I guess once I see other vamps walking around town with light colors, I will make sure you get the credit for it." He smiled. He knew everybody wanted to fit in. Hell, he wanted to fit in. This was the first person he had talked to in about 4 weeks. "Hell yeah I know what you mean. Everybody wants to fit in. I just got here last month and so far, you've been the only contact I've had with anyone. Not counting school of course." He snickered. School. What a joke. If only he didn't register himself. Even though he was kind of forced to. Mitch laughed. "Yay! Indeed. I think from this little encounter I can meet others as well. They have to be as nice as you are though, and welcoming." Mitch broadly smiled. Gawd. He loved meeting new people.

Oh dear, that made her give out a sigh followed by a short chuckle. "Oh no, no. I'm not like that at all. I'm not judgmental, and just because our species is meant to hate each other and fight till the death... Well that doesn't mean we have too? In my mind we could all be friends', if one of us had the guts to accept each other and let the other know theirs no danger in knowing thyself." Addalynn was clearly older, she let her old talking ways seep through her speech. "sorry, I'm a little old..." Addalynn chuckled softly. "What I mean is that, we can all get along if we tried to get to know each other. There's no reason to fight really..." Addalynn smiled, pleased with herself for summing it up better and less confusingly for him.
Addalynn knew he wasn't lying about that much. Everyone seemed to try to hard to fit in. Instead of being themselves. "Yeah, I don't see the point in trying to fit in. It's barbaric, and un...humane..." Addalynn chuckled at her use of wording about humans. Even though Mitch clearly knew she wasn't human, it was funny to her how she still tried to stay undercover about her true identity. "I suppose if everything tries to fit in, no one can be left out?" Addalynn made a hypothesis in her head. If everyone tries to fit in, then no on can be left out and feel unwanted. That made sense, didn't it?
Mitch complimented her nice personality. Addy smiled gently to him. "I can't promise everyone will be as nice, or sincere as I. But I can promise you'll find at least a few more that are. I can also promise that if you agreed to be my friend I'd hurt anyone that tried to judge you?" Addalynn liked Mitch as a friend. He was a nice guy, and even for a werewolf he was very tolerable. Not at all ignorant, or naive like she thought for them to be. Addalynn watched his movements closely. "I only mean that as in fighting, not killing... I try not to kill humans... I feel it's..." Addalynn chuckled as she used that word again. "Un-humane..." Addalynn smiled happily at him.
